PLATEAU STATE GOVERNOR MUTFWANG CELEBRATES CHRISTMAS WITH RURAL COMMUNITIES

Governor, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, on Sunday, emphasized the significance of Jesus Christ’s birth as the ultimate solution for mankind’s redemption.

Speaking during a Christmas service at COCIN II Ampang West in Mangu Local Government Area, Governor Mutfwang urged believers to seize the Christmas season as an opportunity to reconcile with Christ and embrace the gift of salvation.

“My prayer is that God will help us recognize the true essence of Christmas. Christmas is not just a time for eating and drinking; it is a celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ, which offers salvation and reconnects us with God,” Governor Mutfwang stated.

The Governor expressed gratitude to the people of Plateau State for their unwavering support and assured them of his administration’s commitment to delivering remarkable transformation in the state.

Governor Mutfwang highlighted his vision for 2025, describing the initiatives already in place as the foundation for greater development. He called for peace, unity, and harmonious coexistence among the various communities in Plateau State.

Rev. Peter Mangset, Chairman of the RCC Ampang West, delivered a sermon titled “The Birth of Jesus Christ: Good News to Believers and Bad News to Non-Christians” drawn from 1 Timothy 1:15. He described the birth of Jesus as the cornerstone of salvation for mankind.

Rev. Mangset also lauded Governor Mutfwang’s leadership, which has enhanced security and led to developmental strides in the state. The Executive Chairman of Mangu Local Government Area, Hon. Emmanuel Bala Mwolpun, commended the Governor’s exceptional leadership and acknowledged the positive impact of his administration on the state’s economy, healthcare, and education sectors.

The Christmas celebration was attended by various dignitaries, including traditional rulers, community leaders, and government officials. Governor Mutfwang’s visit to the rural community was seen as a gesture of goodwill and a demonstration of his commitment to connecting with the people of Plateau State.
